Abstarct: The power industry is dynamic and influential because of its underlying role and close relationship with factors affecting economic growth. Then increasing its efficiency and productivity is of great importance.Considering the importance of the subject in this research, using the data envelopment analysis (DEA), the economic and environmental efficiency of power plants in Iran are studied. At first, the economic efficiency of 108 units of power plant in Iran (gas plants, combined cycle, thermal, wind and photovoltaic power plant) will be evaluated in 1394.The results obtained from the input-oriented DEA method indicate that, in terms of economic efficiency of mextafrontier and group technology, Rasht gas plants, Isfahan, Tehran, Kerman and Qom combined cycles, and Isfahan and Kerman thermal power plants, as well as The photovoltaic plant of Rasht is considered to be efficient. In the second section, the environmental efficiency of 46 non-renewable power plants (gas stations, combined cycle and thermal power plant) is evaluated in 1394. The environmental efficiency of these power plants is calculated using the input-oriented DEA method, taking into account the 〖CO〗_2 emissions as an undesirable output. The results obtained from the input-oriented DEA method indicate that, in terms of envirenmental efficiency of mextafrontier and group frontier, Rasht gas plants, Tehran, Kerman and Qom combined cycles, and Isfahan thermal and Kerman thermal power plants, are considered to be efficient.in other hand this power plants have the highest efficiency and the lowest The gap technology Also, gas stations in Zahedan, Semnan, Bushehr and Ahvaz have the least environmental efficiency.
